Tree/Shrub Pick-up dates: April 24 Noon-7:00p.m. and April 25 8:00a.m.-7:00p.m.

*Pick-up location: 5454 Venoy Rd., Wayne MI 48184  (734)727-7248  If you cannot make these dates, please contact the Conservation District Office for other order pick-up arrangements.  For those living on the east side of Detroit, orders will be delivered to the First National Building (Detroit) & to the Grosse Pointes.  All extra trees and shrubs will be sold during order pick-up.               

A LEGACY OF WILDFLOWERS: In memory of Lady Bird Johnson and her love of wildflowers, we have expanded this season’s selection of native wildflowers and native prairie grasses.  Native plants will attract many more pollinators than non-native plants and will require less watering, fertilizing, and pruning. (Avoid planting invasive species such as Tree-of-Heaven, Garlic Mustard, Canada Thistle, Crown Vetch, Autumn Olive, Japanese Honeysuckle, Purple Loosestrife, Reed Canary Grass, Common Reed, and Multiflora Rose.)  

BIRD AND BUTTERFLY GARDEN: Combine the following Native Plants: Smooth Blue Aster, Yellow Coneflower, Foxglove Beard-Tongue, Stiff Goldenrod, Butterfly Milkweed, Spiderwort, and Indian Grass

RAIN GARDEN: Combine the following Native Plants: Broad-leaved Cattail, Marsh Marigold, Monkey Flower, Mountain Mint, Spotted Joe-pye Weed, Swamp Rose Mallow, Bottlebrush Sedge, and Blue Vervain
